AYE-AYE’S LUCKY CHOCOLATE MINT ROOIBOS 100g

$17.00

A sweet blend of cacao, peppermint and African Rooibos. Healthy and caffeine free – this one is perfect for the little ones! A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this tea go towards the conservation of the endangered Aye-Aye lemur.

Rooibos tea, meaning “red bush”, is a broom-like member of the plant family Fabaceae that grows in South Africa. Rooibos tea has been popular in Southern Africa for generations, but is now consumed in many countries worldwide. Rooibos tea has a taste and color somewhat similar to hibiscus tea, with more or less of an earthy flavor like yerba mate.

Generally, the leaves undergo an oxidation (often known as fermentation) in common tea processing terminology. This process produces the distinctive reddish-brown color of Rooibos and enhances the flavor. Rooibos tea is commonly prepared in the same manner as black tea, water temperature should reach boiling and steep for a minimum of 3 minutes. Milk and sugar or honey are added to taste, but Rooibos tea is excellent as a latte, cappuccino or iced.

Ingredients: Rooibos, brittle pieces (sugar, hazelnuts), chocolate pieces (sugar, cocoa mass, low fat cocoa powder, cocoa butter, dextrose, emulsifer: sunflower lecithin), flavour, peppermint leaves.

Description

Terri Tatchell

All writers have a “thing” to help their inner muse. To this Oscar nominated writer of films such as District 9, it’s as simple as a bottomless cup of tea. Which is why High Tea at Neverland means never-ending pots of any of the 65 varieties of tea.

Terri has recently launched a series of children’s books “Endangered & Misunderstood” from which all proceeds are donated to endangered animals. In conjunction with each book release, Neverland is launching a specially curated children’s tea. The first book “Aye-Aye Get’s Lucky” featuring a nocturnal lemur from Madagascar, introduces Aye-Aye’s Lucky Chocolate Mint Rooibos. Because rumour has it – lemurs love it!
